El Quijote Boricua: Entre Sueños y Redes, la Vinculación del Dr. José Toro-Alfonso con la Psicología Latinoamericana

Abstract

The presence of Dr. José Toro-Alfonso in Latin America was characterized by his strong social commitment and by his conviction of the urgent need to develop psychology as a science and a profession in Latin American countries. In the following article, I detail the professional work of Dr. Toro-Alfonso between the years of 1993 and 2015 in different Latin American countries,
highlighting the investigation in such fields as masculinities and sexuality, with emphasis in human rights. His legacy will be
remembered by many, specially investigators that are committed to oppose social inequalities and how to confront such injustices.
