Sección Especial: Dedicada al Dr. José Tore-Alfonso

Abstract

This special section presents five essays that offer a global and detailed vision of the life and work of Dr. Toro-Alfonso. His friends and colleagues Rubén Ardila, Miguel Vázquez, Alfonso Urzúa, Yarimar Rosa presents their personal recollections of Dr. Toro-Alfonso, particularly his role as mentor, leader, investigator, and clinician. I also present my reflection of Dr. Toro-Alfonso, and my collaborations with him in the last eight years of his life. From this section it is clearly seen that Dr. Toro-Alfonso was one of the most prestigious and notable Puerto Rican psychologists in the history of our discipline.
